W3C Valid Website Design
Eugene had no clear idea of what he was after in a website. No12 knew that constant updates would be key in the make up of the website. We decided that having a twitter feed on the homepage would let users see exactly what he is up to quickly and easily.
We designed the website around Eugene’s existing logo allowing the colours and textures we used to compliment the logo well and keep the look and feel of a motor racing website. The website was built using our custom version of WordPress and was made very simple for Eugene to update on his travels.
We knew the importance of fan interaction on this website and decided to include a comment system allowing users to comment on his postings. Something that Eugene was very happy about. We also added a “Where I am right now section that let Eugene update a Google map and say exactly were he is in the world.
All of these tweaks on the website allowed for increase user interaction and allowed Eugene to achieve sometimes a staggering 3000 hits a week. We also integrated Flickr allowing users to download copies of their favorite images. Eugene has received so much positive feedback for his website that we have already started on other racers website which will appear online in the near future.
